NTBA v8
The NTBA (Network Termination for ISDN Basic Rate Access) is a network termination device for an ISDN base connection. This established technique exists already in the eighth generation and can be characterized by a highest degree of reliability. The latest circuit concepts guarantee low power consumption, a very compact design, as well as highest efficiency. Not only does the consistent practice-oriented construction of the NTBA simplify the assembly for the subscriber, it furthermore offers the network operator all essential service and maintenance functions to ensure an accurate operation. The NTBA can be seen as transition from a two-wire Uk0 interface to a four-wire S0 interface. This implementation is realized electronically via hybrid circuit as well as echo cancellation.

Vodafone Starterbox
The Vodafone Starterbox is one of the most space-saving ISDN adapters available on the market as it contains 3 devices in one: the ISDN-NTBA, the DSL splitter, and the adapter (TA) for connection of analogue end user devices to the digital network. Because of this integration the emergency back-up power capability for suitable analogue telephones remains even in case of power outage which is not the case for external terminal adapters. The end customer does not need to connect countless cables, does not have housings of different colors and design and does not have to turn to different providers for consultation. The results are higher customer satisfaction and stronger customer loyalty. Furthermore, the Vodafone Starterbox is equipped with additional functions (i.e. analogue call-charge pulse, CLIP, and so on) which you can not find in much more expensive devices. One ISDN S0 and two analogue interfaces are available for the subscriber. Thus it is possible to use up to 8 ISDN terminal devices and at the same time via the a/b interfaces analogue telephones, modems, and fax machines of group 3.
